This beautiful blonde leading lady became known as the female member of TV's "The Mod Squad" (ABC, 1968-73), for which she earned five Emmy nominations. In 1974, Lipton married producer/musician Quincy Jones and took a hiatus from acting to raise a family. In the late 1980s, after her divorce from Jones, she resurfaced on the big screen as a TV reporter in "War Party" (1988) and went on to play diner owner Norma Jennings on the oddball serial "Twin Peaks" (ABC, 1990-91), a role she reprised in the feature "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me" (1992). Lipton did not have much success with the subsequent series "Angel Falls" (CBS, 1993), a short-lived soap opera in which she played a coach's wife. Since then, she has made appearances in a handful of TV-movies and turned up in Kevin Costner's overblown, critically-derided epic "The Postman" (1997).
