This petite brunette gained her first experience on the Chicago stage in productions at companies such as Steppenwolf, Organic and Eclipse (of which she was one of the founding members). Within five months of her move to Los Angeles, Pietz had appeared in an episode of the police drama "Missing Persons" (ABC, 1993), the feature "Rudy" (1993) and later joined the cast of the fledgling Warner Bros.
