Biography
The son of a radio comic, Einstein was working in advertising and dabbling in comedy when he was handpicked by Tommy Smothers to join the staff of "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" (CBS, 1967-69) alongside fledgling gag men Steve Martin and Rob Reiner. With the series' controversial cancellation in 1969, Einstein found himself a writer in-demand and created the character of Super Dave for the syndicated "The John Byner Comedy Hour" (1972). …
