About Bruce Davey

The former manager of business affairs for Mel Gibson, Bruce Davey entered into partnership with the actor in ICON Productions in 1988. The Australian native went on to co-produce nearly all of Gibson's starring vehicles of the 1990s, including Franco Zeffirelli's "Hamlet" (1990), "Forver Young" (1992), "The Man Without a Face" (1993), which also marked Gibson's directorial debut, "Maverick" (1994) and "Braveheart" (1995). The latter, an epic feature about a 13th Century Scottish warrior, won 10 Oscar nominations includiong one as Best Picture. Under the ICON banner, Davey has also overseen "Airborne" (1993) and the Beethoven biopic "Immortal Beloved" (1994), with Gary Oldman.
