Following supporting turns in a number of forgettable features, Pressly made her leading debut in "Poison Ivy: The New Seduction" (1997), but managed almost immediately to avoid being typecast with a regular role on the short-lived drama "Push" (ABC, 1998) and a part in the teen comedy "Can't Hardly Wait" (1998).
