Pop star and new “The X Factor” judge Demi Lovato is set to host the 14th annual Teen Choice Awards, alongside “Glee” co-star McHale, on Sunday, July 22, 2012. The teen-fueled ceremony honors film, TV, music and sports stars in such silly categories as choice hottie, villain, lip-lock and hissy fit. (AP Photo/Matt Sayles, File)
This may come as a surprise, but Kevin McHale was once a member of a Plano, TX-based boy band known a NLT (Not Like Them). After finding success with songs such as "She Said, I Said" (produced by Timbaland) and "Karma" (produced by One Republic's Ryan Tedder) on Geffen/Interscope Records, the band broke up, and the bespectacled 20-year-old musician set his sights on an acting career. Following brief stints on "Zoey 101" and "True Blood," Kevin landed on "Glee" as the wheelchair-bound super nerd who happens to rock with the best of 'em.
