About Lacey Schwimmer

She is the younger sister of Benji Schwimmer, winner of the second season of "So You Think You Can Dance?" (Fox, 2005- ). Although she began training at age six, it was not until she hit her teens that she realized that dancing was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. At age seven, Schwimmer and partner Brian Cordoba danced in the 1995 U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships. At age 10, she and partner Blace Thompson placed 1st in the Young America Division at the 1998 U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships. In January 2003, Schwimmer was paired with Jared Murillo, and the two began competing at a junior level. They were upgraded to the youth level in August 2003 and competed in dozens of competitions, including the U.S. title in the Young Adult Division of the 2004 U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships. They were also awarded the U.S. National Youth Latin Championship in 2006.

Additionally, the 5'3" Schwimmer was chosen as one of the Top 20 contestants for season three of "So You Think You Can Dance?" as well as finished top at the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships. Some of her professional appearances prior to season seven of "DWTS" included Christina Aguilera's pop video "Candyman" as a jitterbugger and a cameo appearance in "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" (Disney, 2005- ). Lacey was credited as a member of ACDC with Hok, another "So You Thank You Can Dance?" competitor, and also appeared on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" (2003- ), the MTV Movie Awards 2008 and in Adam Shankman's film "Bedtime Stories" (2008) starring Adam Sandler. A part of the iHollywood Dance faculty Schwimmer also finds time to teach master classes in Norway and will judge the World Swing Championships in September 2008. On her first season of "Dancing with the Stars" (ABC, 2005- ), Schwimmer was partnered with former N'Sync member, Lance Bass.
