While still a high school student, she caught the attention of agent John Crosby who arranged a contract with modeling diva Nina Blanchard. Russo was an immediate success and became one of the top models of the 1970s and early 80s, appearing on the covers of many fashion magazines including Vogue and Harper's Bazaar.
