A compact, blond comedy player best known for his sitcom work as the self-obsessed yuppie Michael Harris on "Newhart" (CBS, 1984-90), and as Tom Hanks' cross-dressing roommate on "Bosom Buddies" (ABC, 1980-82), Peter Scolari began in show business doing Off-Broadway plays and was one of the founders of the Colonnades Theatre Lab in New York.
