That Led To: “My Super Sweet 16” (MTV, 2005-07)

Did It Fail Miserably? Oh my, no. MTV milked this frightening display of ever-escalating extravagance (“A Lexus? But I wanted a Mercedes!”) for 61 episodes. And we can only imagine how many teens across the nation were inspired by “Sweet 16” to demand gifts they don’t need... more
