I love the fact that you can drive from the Pacific coast to the Atlantic coast in a day, and go from being drenched one minute in torrential rain to basking in glorious bright sunshine the next. There are a large number of rustic, eco-friendly lodges to go along with the nation’s strong green policy. Adventure is abundant here, thanks to activities ranging from world-class surfing to wild river rafting. A few years ago I spent the night sleeping in the jungle canopy about 100 feet above the ground, I woke up to the smell of fresh coffee as my host came flying between the trees on a cable to deliver us some local brew."
