'Boy Meets World': 20 Fun Facts

Fans of '90s TV rejoiced recently when news broke that there's a "Boy Meets World" sequel in the works. The Disney Channel is planning an updated version, which will follow a now grown-up and married Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence as they raise their own teen daughter, hence the new name "Girl Meets World." And in a true stroke of poetic justice, Cory has become a teacher just like his tortured mentor, Mr. Feeny. The mini-Monkees reunion was not Peter Tork's only appearance on "Boy Meets World." He was the first of three actors who played the role of Topanga's dad, Jedidiah, over the years. Tork took on the part in two 1995 episodes. He was replaced by "Laverne & Shirley" star Michael McKean for an installment in 1999. And then Mark Harelik tackled the character three times in 1999.
