When is an audience of more than 14 million viewers a disappointment? When you’re a heavily hyped CBS drama with an all-star cast following the “NCIS”/”NCIS: Los Angeles” powerhouse. The debut of this Dennis Quaid-Michael Chiklis crime drama (set in 1960s Las Vegas)
actually attracted 14% fewer viewers in the key 18-49 demographic than “Unforgettable” did last year -- and that Poppy Montgomery procedural was axed before being resurrected for a summer run. We don’t think Quaid and Chiklis want to be sweating it out in Vegas in the summertime.
