At just 11 years old, Kimmy was one of TV's most iconic kooky neighbors, along with Howard Borden from "The Bob Newhart Show" and Phyllis Lindstrom from "Mary Tyler Moore." The fact that she had smelly feet and wasn't the brightest bulb might have annoyed some of the Tanners, but not Kimmy's best friend, D.J.
In real life, Andrea Barber has a thirst for knowledge. When "Full House" ended, she earned her undergraduate degree in English from Whittier College.
Barber, 36, sums up her current status on her Twitter profile, saying, "Mother. Wife. Runner. Ex-Gibbler. The neon tights are officially retired, people! But my love for NKOTB still prevails."
Kimmy's short-lived romance with Duane didn't pan out on "Full House," but "whatever." In real life, Barber married Jeremy Rytky in 2002. After they wed, the couple went off to England, where Barber received a master’s degree in women's studies from the University of York.
These days, Barber is the stay-at-home mother of two children: 8-year-old Tate and 5-year-old Felicity Ruth. As she told Cori Linder of ModernMom.com, "I wanted to re-experience childhood through my kids' eyes. It was almost like I was reliving my childhood, which was kind of abnormal because I was working. But this time, I can experience a normal childhood through them."
