There must have been something in the drinking water at McKinley High, because the three main stars of "The Wonder Years" -- Fred Savage, Danica McKellar, and Josh Saviano — all went on to earn impressive degrees in real life. After the series ended, Savage attended Stanford University, where he chose to forgo the glamour of Hollywood for a room in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house. Although he briefly returned to his acting career in 1997 to star in the short-lived series "Working," he graduated a year later with a bachelor's degree in English. Still, Tinseltown beckoned. He's an established director who has helmed episodes for numerous popular series, including "Modern Family" and "Two Broke Girls," and is a producer on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

McKellar graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in mathematics. She went on to write a few best-selling books, hoping to inspire girls with her passion for numbers. She hasn't totally left acting behind. She does voice-over work on "Young Justice" and appeared in the recent Syfy film "Tasmanian Devils."

After graduating from Yale, Saviano attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. He now practices corporate law at Morrison Cohen in Manhattan. less
