Sorry, Schwim (can we call you Schwim?): We know this might send you into one of Ross’s patented depressive spirals… but hey, one of you has to finish last, right? Schwimmer’s career has been stuck in second gear since “Friends” ended; his highest-profile role since, as Melman the giraffe in the “Madagascar” movies, doesn’t even show his face. But to be fair, this step back from the spotlight may be intentional. In recent years, Schwimmer has been happily honing his live-theater acting chops on Broadway and stepping behind the camera to direct a handful of indie films (“Run Fatboy Run,” “Trust”). We did enjoy his one-off cameo as environmental booster Greenzo on “30 Rock,” and he’s set to guest star on his old pal Lisa Kudrow’s Showtime comedy “Web Therapy” later this season. Perhaps we’re being too tough on ol’ Schwimmy; maybe he’s just been “on a break”?
