If we did this ranking two years ago, LeBlanc would probably be pulling up the rear; the stench of his ill-advised “Friends” spinoff “Joey” still hangs over his IMDb page to this day. (The fact that “Joey” lasted for 46 episodes is a good counter-argument to anyone who says that networks cancel shows too quickly.) But LeBlanc surprised us all last year by doing something… smart. On Showtime’s sharp Hollywood satire “Episodes,” he stars as a ridiculously vain version of himself who’s miscast on an adaptation of a British sitcom, and does his best to dumb it down for American audiences. The role made us see LeBlanc in a whole new light and even earned him an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe award -- something none of his “Friends” castmates can say. Guess we should stop making fun of him for that movie about the baseball-playing monkey now.
