He may have been pegged as the “Friends” breakout star early on, but Perry has struggled to leave the ever-sarcastic Chandler Bing in the rearview mirror. His big-screen career peaked with the “Whole Nine Yards” films, and his attempts at a TV comeback have fizzled. Hooking up with Aaron Sorkin to play a pill-popping sketch-comedy writer on NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” sounded like a solid career move, but the highly-touted show collapsed after just one season. And ABC’s “Mr. Sunshine” didn’t even last that long. Now he’s back on NBC with “Go On,” as a mouthy sports-talk radio host who’s forced into group therapy after his wife dies. Sounds like a barrel of laughs, huh? We just wish he could’ve stuck around for more than two episodes of “The Good Wife”; his shockingly nefarious guest role there proved that Chandler can break bad, too.
