What were they thinking. I could hardly watch the episode when the scene unfolded. Way over the top. I am seriously considering deleting my season pass. I am glad to see I was not alone in my gut reaction. I really enjoyed this show. What a horrific way to end the season.

Very disappointed in the writers and who ever approved the possible butcher job that is to be acted out.

I've only seen the show twice before this episode, and liked it. But that was too much and irresponsible. Too many people get ideas from television to have put that on screen. And what kind of idiot DOCTOR comes up to a door, where I guess he lives, and knows there is a pregnant woman inside, hears her "whimpering" and leaves? The writers must be very young, and not using much deductive reasoning. Psychologist ought to be angry and doctors too. Violet in real life, would have never allowed a patient showing up at her door, that just that day she said was off meds, get that close to her. Bad writing. Shock factor, with no thought. Like children who write video games wrote it. I'm done.

I was beginning to enjoy this show until it's season finale. I don't watch TV for horror and gore. What were you thinking? Couldn't you come up with a better way to get rid of a character than that? You need new writers. You just lost a viewer.

I had some appreciation for the writers as they made us think about custody issues with a druggie mom (Dell and his ex) and even Coop and the autism/immunization issues that are hot points for so many new parents. BUT I absolutely abhor where the final episode went with the freaky Katie stalker and the blatant scare tactics used to intimidate pregnant mothers to be.

As a woman and a mother it doesn't take much imagination to see that scalpel cutting into the character Violet and her baby being taken from her body as she gives instructions. That is until she bleeds out and dies on the floor and the crazy you can get it all on the internet chick carts off her baby.

I was insulted, revolted and pledged then and there to write the writers and producers of that episode. I know there are revolting things out there - violent acts against small children and pets rank among them. They are not good fodder for a season cliff hanger - neither was this choice of story twist!!! It was just terrible to watch hopeful Violet quickly go to hopeless and resign herself to being a co-conspirator in her own death. I can’t stomach it and won't watch the show again. BAD call ABC!
