An adaptation for television of Bernard Shaw s play about one Henry Higgins, professor of phonetics, and his efforts to transform Eliza Doolittle, a flower girl with a pronounced Cockney accent, into a well-bred, well-spoken woman who can pass for a duchess in London society.
