Bill Maher is a real newscaster that people need to be watching more of. The only reason he is not on basic cable channels, like he once was on “Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher” on ABC, is because the government and the FCC does not want the real news to be reported. He and John Stewart are the only true television news casters we have to look forward to today. Bill Maher is one of the most insightful and well informed people on the NEWS and this show is an excellent forum for political discussion. The panel is often well informed and well respected in their general field. If people believe Bill Maher is being “hateful” of America or “unpatriotic” they are absolutely misinformed because Bill Maher does not hate America he hates the corrupt individuals who pollute the contemporary political arena. The men and women who voted on the Patriot Act, and the war on “terror”, which has done nothing in quailing terrorist but just add even more fuel to the fire, Bill makes it a point to identify these individuals and their true intentions. Bill Maher makes it his prerogative to bring this to the attention of the American people so to inform them of their public officials. For those of you who hate this show it is because you have been brainwashed by the fundamentalist Christian Americans who fear men like Bill Maher and John Stewart for exposing these politicians and these heads of state for what they really are.

Probably the worst show I've seen Bill do!
Terribly un-balanced.
All Tony Snow Job All the time.
I really felt they let him get away with way too many lies.
I know the writers are gone, the dismal monologue proved that, but where are the directors?
I believe this show went off the rails early on.

Also Bill is way off on the NH numbers:

There were MANY undecided... some of those obviosly went to Hillary. And why is it ok for male Republicans to cry over and over but when a Democrat/Womans eyes get a little red shes balling her eyes out as a political stunt.----- Jeeze Bill your playing right in to their hands!

I love Bill and know...it will get better as the season progresses.

Although the show makes me laugh, it also keeps informed on things that I would not know about. I would say that the only thing I would change would be the length. i would make it a 90 minute show. Other than that, I give the show 5 stars.

I would like to commend Bill Maher on a show worthwhile watching and much needed in this country. I have been following his type of round table television since Politically Incorrect. I am looking forward the new season beginning next week. I can go on and on with how much I enjoy watching Real Time but I'm certain Mr. Maher has heard it before.

Among the group of us that watch, we would like to see some changes that perhaps Mr. Maher and the producers might consider for the show.
- Four panelists instead of three - 2 Democrats, 2 Republicans. This would allow for more even sided discussions.
- Objective subject matter expert guests not affiliated or siding to a particular party.
- Inviting the two top runners of each party close to Election ‘08.
- Invite Karl Rove, Valerie Plame, Joseph Wilson, and Robert Novak – all in one show! Good Luck ! ;-)
- From time to time, theme guest shows. For example, TV journalists (Tom Brokaw, Ted Koppel, and Dan Rather) or talk show hosts (i.e. Leno, Letterman, O’Brien, Ferguson), etc.
- Extend your show to two hours because most of these topics can't be wrapped up in an hour show. I get frustrated when an interesting topic is being discussed and not all points of view have been addressed because Mr. Maher has to break into “New Rules” (which by the way I enjoy and think it is hysterical).

I know some of these maybe hard to produce, but who can blame me for suggesting! Last but not least, don’t ever tape the show. The fact that is it a live show is one of the reasons that keeps us viewers watching. Cheers!
