Houston's premier real estate agent (Tim Meadows) contacts Reba and Van for a meeting, exciting Reba but concerning Van that he will be her assistant.
Barbra Jean shows off her new sleek figure and staunch dedication to the gym, which Brock fears is about spending time with her male trainer.
Reba tries to balance her family and her work after Van constructs a new home office in her garage and puts pressure on her to call 100 people a day. But Van's pressure isn't the result of his passing up a more lucrative job, it's because Cheyenne's pregnant. Meanwhile, Kyra decides to move in with her mother.
After Kyra moves back in with her, Reba tries to get on board with the house rules Brock and Barbara Jean had established for her, one being that she could drink the occasional beer. Brock begs Reba to help him figure out how to romantically wow Barbara Jean when he fears their marriage hitting a rough patch. But he rebuffs Reba's suggestions and instead decides to reverse his vasectomy and "surprise" Barbara Jean with pregnancy. Meanwhile, Kyra has taken to secretly recording Van as he makes a fool of himself and post the videos on YouTube, making Van a star of sorts as The Doofus.
Barbra Jean suspects that the station's new intern (Kelly Clarkson) was brought in to be her successor.
Brock hides out in Reba's garage for a couple of days in order to get away from his wife. But when Reba's blood pressure skyrockets, she insists he confront the problems in his marriage. Unfortunately, in doing so, Brock and Barbara Jean file for divorce. Meanwhile, Van develops anger management issues while coaching Jake's terrible soccer team and gets fired.
Cheyenne dislikes the home Reba's found for her and Brock because it's being sold by an old cheerleading rival. Meanwhile, Barbara Jean tries to keep up the appearance that she and Brock are happily married, despite their recent separation.
