Thin and wiry with delicate, somewhat androgynous features, Rob Lowe was inspired to become an actor after seeing a Dayton, Ohio production of "Oliver!" when he was ten years old. After his parents' divorce, he and younger brother Chad moved to L.A. with their mother.
