Screw My Mother-In-Law

Since they can't have as much violence as there was in the last episode, this week Rome cranks up the sex. Julii Cooper arranges for Jocasta to marry Posca, because she's just that twisted. Her petty triumph is somewhat dampened when Servilia camps outside her front door for days, calling for justice. When Julii Cooper finally shows her face, Servilia curses Julii Cooper, and then kills herself in the street. The new ruling triumvirate of Antony, Octavian, and Lepidus divide up the Republic, promising to share equally. And then the moment Herod offers Antony a gimongous bribe in exchange for backing him as king of Judea, Antony decides that sharing is for losers. Octavian hears about it anyway, and things are a little tense between them for a while. They make up, but Julii Cooper thinks the only way to make the reconciliation believable to the public is for a marriage to occur between the two houses. And so Octavian makes Antony marry Octavia, which pleases absolutely nobody but himself. Herod's at the wedding, and Levi and Timon have decided to take a run at him. But Timon changes his mind at the last moment and accidentally kills his brother instead. That'll throw a kink into anyone's redemption arc. We find out what Memmio's evil plan is: pretending to find Vorena the Elder and Greasius in flagrante, he acts like he's going to tell Vorenus about the affair until Vorena agrees to spy for him. Sneaky bastard. That's nothing compared to Gaia, though, who provokes a fight with Eirene, who then sics Pullo on her. Pullo takes the whip to Gaia, all right, but it's the one between his legs. Gaia ends up going to get some stuff to end a pregnancy, but we all know it's not going to be hers.
