Nineteen year old Matt faces a difficult situation when his girlfriend finds out she's pregnant and decides to give the baby away without asking Matt. In an attempt to keep his baby, Matt takes the baby from the hospital. Estranged from his mother, he turns to his grandmother. He stays with her and takes care of his son. Then when someone tries to burn down the barn, Matt stands up for his grandma. With her help, he decides to fight for legal custody of his son and in the end wins just that.
