Early one morning, Terry Stone and her husband Geoff are notified that their college-age son Andrew has sustained critical injuries in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. The attending physician informs them that Andrew remains in a coma with a multitude of injuries to his brain. Against the odds, Andrew survives and begins a slow, painful rehabilitation in which his lifelong ambitions must be re-evaluated.
