A Prayer in the Dark

Two prison escapees team up with an accomplice and travel to upstate New York where they take a Quaker family hostage and threaten to kill them all unless the mother, the president of the local bank, gives them $4 million in ransom. One of the convicts is a young man who left the Quaker community and got into trouble with the law.
