About The Show
Series of animated family specials based on former Secretary of Education William Bennett's best-seller, "The Book of Virtues." The series uses the book as a starting point for a continuing storyline about two children, Zach and Annie, who befriend a group of talking animals, including Plato, a wise and well-traveled buffalo, who collects great stories from the world's classic literature. Plato tells the children these stories to illustrate themes such as loyalty, courage, and honesty. Other animal characters include a forever questioning bobcat, Socrates ("Sock"); Aristotle ("Ari"), a philosophical prairie dog; and Aurora, a gentle and knowing hawk.
