Amazing show that always left me on the edge of my seat. Its dark - very dark. What would it really be like to see ghosts - troubled souls looking for revenge and retribution? Alison is a reluctant psychic. A car crash left her able to see ghosts who torment her into helping them. The dark visions that she is forced to observe leave her sleepless and troubled. Robert is a psychologist who specializes in debunking psychics. When he meets Alison he thinks she will make an ideal subject for his book on charlatans. As she helps him deal with his own loss and the ghost of his son his opinion of Alison begins to change.
Every episode of this outstanding drama showed exceptional writing and acting. The tension is palpable and builds throughout the series. Is Alison really a psychic or is she suffering from mental illness? Will Robert's scepticism break down in the face of unexplainable phenomena? I was devastated when this series ended after only two seasons. It is one of the most engrossing thrillers on TV and I wish it had continued.
