It doesn't take an adult to know that the turn the show has taken is humiliating, to both the perfomers and the audience. My twin 8 year olds and my 12 year old were embarrassed for the performers and had to quit watching.

I used to think American was somewhat entertaining, but I must say I am very disappointed with what was done regarding the contestants that showed to some extent a physical or mental disability. It was wicked and shameful…appalling episodes.
