About The Show
After the death of her husband Paul, Lis Donovan discovers that he had secretly spent their life savings on property on a small island off the coast of Maine. Still grieving, yet feeling betrayed, Liz travels to the island, called "Bailey's Mistake," determined to sell the property. Joining her on the trip are her precocious 9-year-old son, Dylan, and her rebellious teenage daughter, Becca. Once they set foot on the island, strange things start to happen as the Donovans meet a menagerie of locals: a mailman who wears skirts; a pregnant mayor who calls herself "The Other Mrs. Donovan"; and the town drunk, who happens to be a cat. Soon, Liz learns that the island is inhabited by a group of Irish travelers who claim to be Paul's estranged relatives. They are led by Aunt Angie, a bristling woman who tries to dissuade Liz from selling their homes to wealthy landowner Lowell Lenox. As Liz struggles with this dilemma, her son begins to display a magical gift for healing.
