After watching the first few episodes of the US version and loving it, I was curious about how good the UK version was. I have watched all episodes to date of both versions and I love both!
The UK did a great job with the concept for the show and really made you care about the characters. Mitchell and his fight to be human and "sober", George and his dealing with what he calls "the Curse", and Annie and her death and afterlife.
In the US version you have Aiden, Josh and Sally another amazing cast. While the basics are still there, you get more of a background and side story in this version that I liked and the closeness between Josh and Aiden is different than that of George and Mitchell.
Yes the storyline is still quite similar but the US show is still in its first season and has already branched out on its own in many ways from the UK show.
To truely be able to say that one is better than the other I think you most watch more than 1 episode, because once you learn the characters you'll be hooked.
