About The Show

Reality/game show in which a group of 10 people who have never met is gathered in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom house and monitored continuously by television cameras. The housemates have no contact with the outside world -- no phone, no newspaper, no radio and no television. Every two weeks, "Big Brother" housemates nominate two of their own in a secret vote to be ousted from the house. Viewers choose by a telephone poll which of the two is to be thrown out. After seven housemates have been voted out, viewers decide on the 100th day which of the three remaining cohabitants should win the jackpot of $500,000. The second-place finisher wins $100,000; the third, $50,000. The other roommates are paid $350 for each week that they spend in the house.

The ten house guests are: 43-year-old Karen, an administrative assistant from Columbus, Indiana, who is married with four children; 27-year-old William, a single youth counselor from Philadelphia; 37-year-old Cassandra, a single communications officer from New York City; 23-year-old Joshua, a single college student majoring in civil engineering from San Luis Obispo, California; 26-year-old Jordan, a single female college student majoring in sociology and filmmaking from Minneapolis; 28-year-old Curtis, a single attorney from New York City; 25-year-old Brittany, a single pharmaceutical sales representative from Minneapolis; 21-year-old Eddie, a single college student majoring in broadcasting from Arlington, Texas; 22-year-old Jamie, a single female sales representative for an internet company from Des Moines, Washington; and 41-year-old George, a roofing contractor from Rockford, Illinois who is married with three children.
