While investigating the death of an Irish mobster, Beckett and Castle uncover a local turf war that may be connected to both a late-night infomercial guru and an international drug smuggling operation. However, the case turns agonizingly personal when evidence emerges that the killer they are chasing may have had a hand in Beckett's mother's murder. It turns out her mother's killer is Dick Coonan, brother to the dead mobster. Beckett wants to use Coonan to find out who hired him to kill her mother; however, she is forced to kill Coonan in order to save Castle's life. less
