Cold Case Files 14

About The Show

Examines "cold cases" -- homicides and other crimes that remain unsolved or are solved many years after the crime.

Case 1, "Reconstructing Murder," follows the odyssey of Captain Dellinges, who was in charge of investigating a series of fires that plagued the California area of Emerald Hills from 1987 to 1990. Though 100 stakeouts proved fruitless, a videotape of one of the blazes was discovered and broadcast on "Unsolved Mysteries." Not long after, the case was closed.

Case 2, "Fire Flicks," examines a murder in Wisconsin, in which a body was found floating in a river, dismembered and flayed, the pieces in plastic bags. The first task was to determine who the victim was. The second was to find the killer. Through dogged work and a few lucky breaks, Sauk County Detective Joe Welsch and Division of Criminal Investigations agent Liz Feagles managed to do both.
