It is getting to formula

It started out great. It went down hill fast! The Detective against his bosses, that is a staple of police shows I get sick of. The Rich woman tells Det. "punish my husband", he has a 12 year old kill the creep. Yes, he deserved to die but even in 1865 adults protected kids from a horrific act like that. Now rich woman is drooling all over Detective, disgusting. Even worse our fearless hero seems to be responding to her advances in spite of grief for his missing wife. In 1865 a rich women's family would have stepped in and protected her and her money from the street riff raff by putting her in a sanitorium. Women where not as free to follow their whims as Mrs Haverford is depicted. Molly and Francis were interesting, the only roles depicted worth following. Dr Freeman has potencial.
The sets are fantastic. I find the dark contributes to the stories. I'll give it one more episode but if continues with this shock for shock sake tripe I'll pass.
