Telefilm based on the true story of Alex Kelly, an affluent high school student, who after being accused of rape, fled the country on the eve of his 1987 rape trial and spent eight years on the run in European ski resorts with funds provided by his wealthy parents. He turned himself in to Swiss police in 1995 after authorities found letters from him in his parents' home bearing a return address. On July 24, 1997, Kelly was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the 1986 rape of the 16-year-old neighbor, now a happily married woman.
