release it to the public?
Diamonds on the Silver Screen first aired on AMC in the 1990s, and was a well-crafted, thoroughly enjoyable look at how motion pictures has portrayed baseball. James Earl Jones, a baseball fanatic of the first water, was the enthusiastic narrator. Inexplicably, AMC has not released this gem on VHS or DVD, and does not answer queries as to "why." This is a pity, for it's such a wonderful video essay.
