Television movie based on a 1997 ABC News "20/20" profile about Bill Porter, a door-to-door salesman with cerebral palsy. Bill Porter was born with cerebral palsy that slurs his speech and makes walking difficult, but that didn't stop him from applying to the Fuller Brush Company in 1955 for a position as a door-to-door salesman. When he was rejected, he interviewed at the Watkins Company. Again, he was turned down. Determined to follow in his father's footsteps as a salesman and with the support of his mother, Bill convinced Watkins to give him what company executives considered their worst route.
