Downton Abbey

I love following the Grantham family saga. It so refreshing to see even today's topics discussed and dealt with in a way that is not offense. The differences of the upper and lower classes is very revealing while at the same time shows that there are caring people that do not look down their noses but actually are concerned about their employees. So many of us think that we are too good to be a servant. Some one always has to be in that role.The servants at Downtown Abbey know that they have it as good as it gets. This is revealed in the finale where the family goes to visit a relative. Even the Grantham s see how good they really have it. Lord Grantham's revelation of just what Matthew is trying to accomplish comes full circle and his gracious acceptance is humbling.Matthews death was a shocking event but now I can not wait to see what happens with Tom. Will he take Matthews place or will he end up back in Ireland? I never miss an episode. Even though I also like Upstairs Downstairs Downtown Abbey is my all time favorite. Fantastic story line, plots, grief, sadness, happiness even a little comedy: it has it all.
