I believe this show was underrated and unappreciated.
The witty, one-liner, you'll-remember-this-'till-your-90 style of comedy that is built into this cartoon is heartwarming, and makes me sad to look at today's tv shows that fell somewhat emptier, and less funny. This show feels very much like the animaniacs, with a more wacky, unpredictable style. It follows the adventures of invertibrate turned superhero Jim, an earthworm who miraculously comes upon a supersuit that gives him superstrength. Along with him are a jeckyl-and-hyde puppy named peter, and a nonverbal blob of snot, applicably named: Snot. The trio of heroes track down such villains as Proffesor Monkey-for-a-Head, Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-Filled, Malformed Slug-for-a-Butt, and the ordinary goldfish bent on destroying the world with his army of ordinary goldfish, Bob, from La Planeta de Agua *ARRIBA!*.
Despite the insanely detailed villains, don't judge this book by it's cover; if you can find one of the video cassettes of this show, pick it up. You won't be disappointed.
