Elementary

I thought that the show was very well made for modernizing Sherlock Holmes. I like the whole idea of making Dr. Watson a woman. Personally I think that the show Sherlock is ok, but it was pointless for the BBC to modernize Sherlock Holmes. If you are going to keep Dr. Watson a man as the traditional depiction then just leave it in the Victorian era. There is no reason to modernize it. Now by making Dr. Watson a woman, that is more of a modern thing having lady doctors. In this you should modernize it. Overall Jonny Lee Miller is perfect as a modern Shelock. He reminds of the way the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes would be if he existed in the 21st Century. Lucy Liu is more than capable of holding her own as Dr. Watson. Perfectly cast. I cannot wait til this weeks show.
