A little more human

It was easier to relate to the show than some of other Star Trek series. At first I thought I would have trouble accepting Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap as the captain but he nailed it from the word go. The storylines show struggling to evolve to the next level and seemed plausible as the future mankind with all of our flaws and strengths. It was clear this was the show intent right down the Captain Jonathan Archer having a beagle named Darwin. (The beagle was the name of ship Charles Darwin sailed on) The special effects were great and the story lines enjoyable. The reason it failed is because UPN did not support effectively gave it a death sentence by moving it to Friday night. This show had so much more to say than what condensed into the final episode. It was rumored that Sci-fi would take over production it never came to be.
