Not a bad start

I was worried that a series like Lord of the Rings gets tons of money for a movie, and Game of Thrones gets an HBO series.
For true Fantasy series readers, LoTR is a good series and I respect it because it pretty much started a genre, but is not the best series by far.
By way of comparison, I believe R R Martin has the best series ever written(even with an average book 4) for the genre. I would have preferred to see it as a movie series, but think that it covers too great of a scope for one movie per book. Looks like they are going to have 5-10 episodes per book, by my guess. Not a fan of actor who plays Jamie, but rest of cast seems good for an HBO series. All in all, I think they did a good job on first episode, might have to order HBO to see rest.
