The Book Brought to the Small Screen

Most time when a book is adapted too much is modified, added, or simply left out for the story to be recognized (The Seeker). In this case the writers, directors and actors have outdone themselves in maintaining the integrity of Martin's work. The backgrounds, costumes, and characters are everything they are in the books. I am already dreading the deaths I know are to come. I truly enjoyed the first episode and if we can expect more of the same for the coming two years it will be quite memorable. Now, if they would just adapt David Gemmell's Legend and the rest of the Drenai series as well as his Rigante series to follow up to this masterpiece. Then again, they could turn Eddings' Belgariad into a great season long event.
