todd is so fixed on gold he is forgetting about safety, he also does not care about watching out for the machines and fixing any problems before it gets real bad. like when the day shift had to fix the trommel before it fell due to the fact that todd didn't take care that the machine was losing dirt to hold it in place. so the day crew dave spent half the day fixing what todd almost destroyed. they would probally have better luck if they got rid of todd and hunted for gold without him.
