    The writing on this show is racist, sexist and exploitative and obviously authored by clueless mainland people. The original show treated all cultures with respect, and there was a moral to every story.

    The blond guy clearly has a napoleon complex and it is not flattering for his character on the show (bad writing). His cool factor is ZERO. Watched it 2 times and that was 2 times too many.more»

    Can't stand the chick on there. She tries to hard to be tough. You don't have to act like a guy to do your job. She was the same way on the cleaner. It's not neccesary to put a woman on there for political correctness. I'd watch it more …more»

About The Show

In an updated remake of the 1968 original series, Detective Steve McGarrett returns home to Oahu to investigate his father's murder and Hawaii's governor convinces him to stay and head up a new team with no rules and no red tape. Detective Danny "Danno" Williams joins the team in order to keep the island safe for his 8-year old daughter. Also joining the team is Chin Ho Kelly who was wrongfully accused of corruption and Chin's cousin Kono who is fresh out of the academy. While running the team, McGarrett also tries to repair his relationship with his estranged sister Mary Ann and continues to look for closure on his father's case.
