About The Show
The first of two plays by William Shakespeare chronicling the violent reign of the usurper King Henry IV. The newly crowned monarch faces rebellion from the powerful Percy family in the north. He also finds it impossible to manage his unruly son, Prince Hal. The young prince alternates between periods of drinking, whoring, and general dissipation with his companion, Sir John Falstaff, and brief periods of high heroics, such as the day on which he slays Harry Hotspur, leader of the rebellion against the king.
