I have always liked Damian Lewis, but he seems a little old for the character. The average Marine SGT is 20 something, add 10 years as a POW and he should be around 30'ish. He definitely makes a better Soldier than Marine. I didn't see any high and tights, and you don't interchange Marine with Soldier. So far I don't see things very realistic for a returning POW, an attempt is being made, but not quite cutting it. The family would have received counseling, and I am not so sure I can believe after 8 years of being a POW he would drive home.
Claire Dane, not my favorite. Hard to believe as a blonde American female she would be driving through Baghdad on her own even as a tough CIA gal wanting answers. We are talking the Middle East here, not Europe. I have to say she is playing the part given to her well, but she gets on my nerves. The exaggerated pill taking is a little much, but she definitely has the look and feel of someone w/a mood disorder. I think she gets too much camera time. I like how she is every where at once, at Langley, at home, at her office, in DC, she sure can zip around.
Ok, a welcome home dinner is a winter BBQ w/fresh corn? Kinda out of season if you are in VA or DC. Guess they needed the window scene.
I want to like the show, and will give it time, but all kinda sketchy so far.
