Although this first premiered in 1999, I only saw it this summer-2007, never before having heard of it. I found the show refreshing and sure wish there had been more episodes to show. It is a pity that it could not be revised as a show. It would be a …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I loved watching "Hope Island". It was one of the few series on t.v.
that was wholesome & true to life. The actors were great & the
stories believable. We need more series like this one. I have taped

About The Show
Series follows the adventures of a newly ordained minister, Daniel Cooper, who arrives on a small island just a ferry ride away from Seattle, to become the minister of the island's abandoned church. The islanders, a population of eccentrics and dreamers, regard Daniel with curiosity and suspicion. However, many of the residents soon realize they can benefit from Daniel's leadership.
